About Us

The Gin Joint is the vision of husband and wife team Joe and MariElena Raya. After obtaining culinary degrees in New York, the pair wanted to recreate an experience that couldn’t, at the time, be found in Charleston. The focus of The Gin Joint is to bring back pre-prohibition style cocktails, with an emphasis on quality. We choose from locally sourced herbs to muddle, house made syrups to sling, and top tier booze with which to shake and stir. We strive to produce well-balanced elixirs for studied cocktailians and novices alike.
